Wednesdays in Lent – Fasting and evening Eucharist at 5:15pm: As a way of observing and walking through Lent together, we will meet at our Ministry Center for scripture reading and Holy Eucharist on Wednesday nights. To help us to humble ourselves in heart and mind, we invite you to fast from food, on these Wednesdays and to “break the fast” with Eucharist. These celebrations will last roughly ½ hour.
Healing Prayer Service, Mar 17, 6-7:30pm: This coming Saturday night, March 17, we will have a special opportunity to benefit from a service of healing prayer. A team of Christians from The Falls Church Anglican (where James and Anna worked previously) will be leading in a time of singing, praying, and teaching geared around God healing us in the many areas of our brokenness: physical, emotional, psychological, social, spiritual, others. This is a very rare kind of event and offering. The service will be held at the Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Hwy.
Conversation and/or Confession during Lent: God often uses Lent to bring up things He wants us to examine, deal with, talk through, and confess to Him. Pastor James is eager and available to listen and converse about what God might be up to in you. Related to this, Confession is a tool or practice the Church has used for many centuries hundreds of years. The purpose is to confidentially share aloud, usually to a pastor, those things for which you need God’s forgiveness. The benefits of this include personal examination beforehand and also the assurance from hearing a human voice speak God’s love and forgiveness. Be in touch with James to talk more about this or to set up a time during Lent.: firstname.lastname@example.org or 757.561.5140.
