CHURCH FAMILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Small groups begin today: This fall, in both our sermons and Small Groups, we will be studying the biblical book of Joshua. This is an opportunity to dig into a fascinating Old Testament book that we can often overlook for how God speaks to us through it now, and its application for us today. Joshua also contains some questions and issues that at first glance are thorny to deal with in Bible study, and seem to put God’s character and intentions in a negative light. The book invites questions and wrestling with Scripture. Sign ups at the welcome table. or email maria@incarnationchurch.net.

CHURCH FAMILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hurricane Harvey relief: As a church we are trying to help in the best way possible those who are dealing with great loss from Hurricane Harvey. We’re doing this in two main ways: first, we are collecting small items for cleaning supplies to send to our sister Anglican churches in the affected area. They have already put together plans to receive these and use and disseminate to their area. Look for yellow cards on Sunday to indicate how you can help this way. Second, perhaps the most important and best way we can help is to give funds to the relief work. No matter what amount, this kind of offering loves our neighbor and goes toward any number of needs, including cleanup, restoration, and paying the crucial workers who are there on site full time. Please see Pastor James’ email from September 9th for a few trusted, recommended organizations for electronic contribution.
